Looking forward to returning to this wonderful hotel

I had the pleasure of spending 6 nights at this beautiful place. Guiseppe Alfano and his staff were so attentive and friendly. Every effort was made to make our stay enjoyable. Carolina and Susanna were wonderful with information about Cortona and dining suggestions. Lara and Andre were a wonderful start to our day as we enjoyed an amazing breakfast.
The design and decor of this refurbished gem was done to perfection. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. A beautiful fruit tray was delivered on our first day as a welcome gift.
I will be sure to recommend a visit to Monastero Di Cortona to family, and friends…..some who are involved in the luxury travel business.

Simply Amazing

I booked our stay at the Monastero di Cortona for my wife’s birthday and it was one of the best decisions we made. We were greeted by the very friendly staff upon arriving and provided refreshing drinks while they checked us in. We were given an incredible room with a view of Cortona, mountains and valley. Everything was perfect. After a day of exploring Cortona on my wife’s birthday, we returned to our room and soon after heard a knock at the door. The staff sent a beautiful cake and wished my wife a happy birthday. It was one of the best birthday’s she has experienced. The Monastero is an amazing place to stay but what really made it special for us was the staff. They were there for all of our questions and needs. We would like to especially thank Carolina, Claudia and Juan for going above and beyond. They made our stay so special we didn’t want to leave.

Magical week staying at the Monastero

Giuseppe and his team made a magical week for us at the 5* Hotel. Every member of his team were helpful, charming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The best service we have had in a hotel for a long time.
Our superior upgraded room was exquisite, large comfortable bed, lots of space tastefully decorated and two windows looking out to the beautiful Tuscan hills and valleys. Well placed for the access to Cortona and it’s marvels literally a two minute walk down to the main areas. The walk is steep and your heart is well exercised especially after dinner or lunch at the many restaurants available. We had hired a car but dint need it as we spent this second week all in Cortona, so much to do and see
Breakfast and light lunch was taken in the walled garden and outdoor pool area.
We made use of the spa and had a couple of excellent massages by Roberta, an afternoon in the indoor pool and hydrotherapy areas was very relaxing too.
The hotel is steeped in history and has been lovingly restored to make it a special place to stay.
We had an unforgettable time and hope to return again later in the year.

We stayed at Monastero di Cortona earlier this week whilst on a tour of Tuscany. The hotel is wonderful, rooms excellent and staff could not do more for us. Susanna was especially helpful explaining everything about the hotel and our room. The hotel has a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and the spa has a wonderful indoor pool. Breakfast was very good and it was lovely to be able to sit outside on the terrace. The town of Cortona is such a lovely place with lots of cobbled streets and great restaurants. We will definitely be back!

We visited Cortona last Sunday and our stay at Monastero di Cortona was fabulous. The reception staff Carolina was very helpful and special thanks goes to Elsa who was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spotless. If you plan to visit Cortona, make sure to stay at Monastero di Cortona.

Everything perfect. Comfortable bed, clean, new, nice dry sauna and big jacuzzi, accommodating staff. Beautiful views. Just plan to park on the outside of the village walls and walk 100m up to the place. Reaching it by google maps directions was impossible s it took you through the village and the streets are extremely narrow.
